Have Bag…Will Travel : Luxury Leather Luggage Selections 2021

The traveling public’s habits are returning with a swift bounce back. Travel has skyrocketed in the past few weeks as weary, homebound dwellers schedule travel within the States or abroad as destinations eagerly await tourist dollars. As more Americans and citizens of other countries become vaccinated, the desire to explore the world is growing feverishly.
The State of Travel
The Center for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) current guidance (as of May 19, 2021) for domestic travelers who are fully vaccinated with an FDA authorized vaccine or a vaccine authorized for emergency use by the World Health Organization can travel safely within the United States and U.S. territories. Recommendations for travel are updated as more people are vaccinated, rates of COVID-19 change and as additional scientific evidence becomes available
If you are not fully vaccinated and must travel, the CDC (on the same site page) has a number of recommendations asked to be followed pre-travel, during travel, and post travel that entail testing, wearing a mask correctly on all public transportation, social distancing, sanitation practices and self-quarantine.
State, local and territorial governments may have restrictions and recommendations with regards to testing requirements, stay-at-home orders and quarantine requirements upon arrival. The CDC has a travel planner page specifically set up to check the guidelines of particular health departments of the locale you plan on visiting.
With regards to international travel, the CDC recommends not traveling until you are fully vaccinated. Although fully vaccinated travelers are less likely to get and spread COVID-19, conditions vary from country to country due to the spread of new or concerning variants of COVID-19. The CDC continues to update risk assessments of countries that fall into risk category levels:
Level 4: COVID-19 Very High
Level 3: COVID-19 High
Level 2:  COVID-19 Medium
Level 1: COVID -19 Low
There is also a listing of countries that haven’t provided updated data to determine Travel Health Notice (THN) levels to assess health threats. These countries are categorized into the Level Unknown: COVID 19 Unknown.
This level means to avoid traveling to these destinations. Unfortunately, the risks are still quite high in many parts of the world,p so remain diligent with staying updated as conditions and situations are fluid depending on the international destination.
As of May 21, 2021, the CDC announced, no matter your chosen journey, in times public transportation will be used, masks (correctly worn over the nose and mouth) are required on planes, buses, trains and other forms of public transportation traveling into, within, or out of the United States and in U.S. transportation hubs such as airports and stations.
Keep in mind that state and local recommendations or requirements vary so be advised to refer again to the health departments travel planner link.
As the traveling public gets used to health practices and social conduct that may become a permanent part of our lifestyles, I believe many of us are encouraged by evidence of growing energy and traffic at airports.
As we schedule flights, reserve accommodations, and prepare the family for the upcoming journey, let’s evaluate that stored handsome luggage ready to take on its role as an elegant workhorse and travel companion.
